GCA Program

The CU Division participates in the GCA program as per R & R 5.1.7.

Any user who wants to control a restricted FRA position in Division CU must request an approval.

The following requirements apply for an approval:

• The user must be able to provide ATC service in English and Spanish.
• User must have at least ADC range of controller.
• The user must have knowledge of the material published in the AIP and the division’s website.
• The user must have knowledge of the general procedures that apply in the Division.
• The user must not have been sanctioned in the last 6 months.
• A theoretical evaluation will be carried out on knowledge of the specific characteristics of the Havana FIR.
• User behavior, especially with respect to other users, must be in accordance with IVAO and the spirit of the division.
• The behavior of the user will be fundamental in the granting and maintenance of the GCA.
• Every user who requests the GCA must control at least 4 hours a month in the Havana FIR.
• The GCA will be displayed in the user’s profile.
• The Division HQ may withdraw the GCA at any time if the requirements are no longer met.
